Not yet. I'm not really even supposed to be working on the Mustang right now but I had these parts laying around and am waiting on parts for the project I should be working on so I killed some down time doing this.

It won't be too popular. I will be cutting out the original pivot which a lot of people don't want to do.

Wifey is going to be mad when she starts seeing boxes showing up at the house. On order as of this morning:

Borgeson PS Box $520
Borgeson Steering Shaft Kit $52
Borgeson Rag Joint $110
AN Fittings for cutstom PS hoses $26
Ron Morris Motor Mounts $260
Ron Morris T5 Crossmember $140
Shelby Quick Steer Kit $140
New Strut Rod Braces $80
and Tom (F15falcon) is finishing up some roller spring perches for me here soon.

Time to put the card away and hide the invoices. I'm as giddy as a school girl though.

Fred

EDIT:
Add some Aero Racing 50 Series Wheels to that list.

Christmas in April Day 1

New Wheels. Aero 50 Series 15x7

RMP T5 Crossmember, F15Falcon Roller Spring Perches, New Strut Braces to be modified for my design strut rods, and some of the components for my strut rods.

I will be cutting out the center section and mounting a rod end right at the stock pivot location. In case you're wondering the tubing is beefy but it will clear just fine. Will have a complete write up once they are done.

So do you fill gas straight from the trunk? Is it a fuel cell or something? From the picture it looks like the hole is completely sealed up?

Yes. When I was driving the car, I would pop the trunk, remove the fuel cell gas cap, and fill 'er up. Its a Jaz 16 gallon cell and I built a mount for it out of sheetmetal that drops right into the stock mounting location.

Took a sick day to visit the doc and used the rest of the day to try and get some work in.

I wanted to start on the strut rods but I have my chop saw at home while I'm building a gate so I had to settle for starting on the steering box.

Started out by pulling all the steering components off the car.

Steering Wheel

Everything else

What will be reused

Got a new bearing to use so the old one had to come out

Don't wanna put new parts on dirty parts, to the blast cabinet!

Before

After

Some powdercoat

New bearing and reassembly

New box mocked in place

Then when I got home, wifey said, "Hun there is a box for you on the couch!!!"

Can't wait for Saturday!

Fred

Good days work if you ask me. I plan on having my own small powder coating setup in the garage sometime in the next year. I'd absolutely take powdercoat over paint. Enjoy Saturday!
