Default Spindle Question

Quick question on the '66 Spindles. I removed them from the car, removed all the lube, sanded and painted (covered the shaft to not get paint on it).

Where the LCA's and UCA's enter the spindle there is some paint inside where they enter. No issues right? Should I just put some lube in there?

I'd scrub it out with a brass wire brush to get it clean. It's a tapered fit for the ball joints.

+1 on what Star said. Maybe after it is clean you can smear a very thin layer of lube or anti-seize on the inside...

Got a tapered wire battery terminal brush? Give it a couple of swipes and it'll be fine.

Those are perfect ideas fellas. Appreciate it!

I'll have to send some pics next weekend. Doing the full suspension upgrades from open tracker right now. Also replaced the power steering cylinder, steering box and control valve. Just finished the Shelby drop. Man it's looking great!!

Need to find a good motor now so I can try out all the new upgrades!
