So, has anyone tried or had any luck with the 88660 headers on a 302 based motor?

Unfortunately I have the 88300 and clutch cable clearance doesn't appear to be there. The headers on the drivers side are obviously different.

I decided to go the hydraulic clutch set-up and bypass this whole clearance issue and keep my 88300s.

Thanks man. I haven't had too much time to update it lately because of school and work but I should be doing some updates this weekend. JamesW has an amazing site with a ton of useful info you may also wanna check out if you haven't done so already. Much better than mine.

I have a 1966 Fastback with the 302 and a modern Driveline cable clutch set up with the WC t-5. it had stock manifolds when i bought it, so before much research i bought the Chrome Tri-ys from Sacramento Mustangs. the cable touches the header so i wrapped the header where it touches with the high heat header wrap, bought some extreme temp tape, and made a 3"x3" thick square of the tape and put it between the cable and the header where it was wrapped and have been driving 2 years with no problems. the Tri-ys with flowmasters sounds wonderfull.

I ended up going with the JBA midlength headers and their H pipe. Fairly soon the engine will be in the car and I can see how everything fits.
