While picking up the car today, I noticed a Mecum auto auction pamphlet in the file folder for the car. I searched for my car on the Mecum website and found it! It turns out that the car was part of "The Mark Wilson Collection". Mark apparently was a car collector that auctioned off 26 cars from his collection and mine was one of them. Two of the 26 cars were actually the two highest bid cars at the auction. I'm feeling very comfortable now that I have a good solid car since I don't think a guy with a collection like this would own anything less. I can't wait to watch the Mecum auction tomorrow night on HDTheater! The guide info says (2008) and thats when the Mark Wilson Collection was auctioned off. I hope I see my car!

Pretty cool. It is nice to know your car came from someone that took care of it. Instead of the ( I change my oil every 2,500 mile club). I have a file of all old expenses with all the cars. My mustang and Z3 have their own Binders. The Z3 actually has its own drawer. I like to keep pictures of every change I make just so I have a mental record to fall back on for myself.
