1982 Town Car Drivers PW switch works in 73 Mustang
follow up to this post where I asked if it would work
https://mustangforums.com/forum/clas...ln-switch.html
Well I ordered one from http://www.switchdoctor.net/
link to the product is here:
http://www.switchdoctor.net/products...ch-119-11.html
Came to $15.35 shipped.
This was my 1st order with switchdoctor, and it was based solely on price. I can say communication was great, and I would defiantly order from them again. (no other association with them)
Here are some pics:
The old switch. Pretty dirty, but the main problem was it was held together with some shrink tape stuff that was deteriorating
Here is the new switch. nice and shinney:
I checked the prongs and they lined up:
The switches are a slight bit taller on the old switch. Shouldn't be a problem:
Here is the old switch installed:
And here is the new switch:
It fits more or less as good as the old one did, looks like it is a tiny bit high on the top switches, I may try and play with fitment a little bit later (but again, the old switch seems that way too, & there is a slight wear mark on the cover plate from it), but it plugged right in and all the controls work. The new switches are a little shorter, but it doesn't affect their function at all. All are easy to operate, no issues there. Can't beat that for $15.35 shipped.
