Default Need help hooking uo Holley linkage & springs

Installing my new Holley 570 Avenger today & I'm not sure about how the springs, etc. hookup. Instruction saren't helping so I hope somebody here can.
I took a pic of my old carb before I took it off, but my dumba$$ deleted the pic from the computer. Now I'm confused.
I have C4 auto with the kickdown cable located near the tranny.
My old Holley had a big chrome bracket that mounted on base of carb that a big spring attached to that went to throttle lever on carb. Had another big spring that was attached to a bracket on rear of intake.
Anybody got a pic of a similar setup that may point me in the right direction??

Well I installed the Avenger. Hooked up the throttle return spring at back of carb linkage & the metal throttle arm & that's all. It runs fine like that. The kickdown works like it should (I think), I stomp it a t 50MPH, it downshifts to 2nd then back to 3rd about 4000-4500 RPM.
I just can't figure out the purpose of that big arm looking bracket at front of carb & where the spring (lighter than the return spring) hooks up.

I'll see if I can't get a pic up to show.

As for the 570 Avenger, it runs great. Seems to be slightly better response, and it runs & idles nice. Took care of some of my vibration problems so I am happy about that.

Pics of new carb & 1 of old Holley 1850 carb.
I see no purpose for the front spring (90% sure that is how the old carb was hooked up). Is it in wrong location?
Notice the old carb has a linkage removed (kickdown?). Is it OK to leave it on the new carb.

You should install 2 return springs (one inside the other) in case one breaks with throttle wide open.

Just thought I would bump this up one time in case somebody has any answers.
I wonder if I should just remove that front spring & bracket cause they sure aren't doing anything.
