what motor should i put in my 66 mustang
im going to ask this and see what gets the most results, i will consider all suggestions, but i am not going traditional with the car so i do not want anything tradtional under the hood, and i know that some of the tradionalists wont like what i am doing but a car is a representation of ones self and its what i want to do with it. i have always like turbo'd cars, not supercharged though, and i do have a 7 bolt mitsubishi turbo motor that i could build to put in it. i have also had the suggestions of a nissan 350z motor, a mazda rotary engine.
but it dont have to be an import motor and it dont have to be turbo'd, i just dont want a 289, 302, 351 and i dont want the common chevy motors either. so lets get creative and see what we can come up with for it

what is wrong with a 302? You could put a turbo on it and the 302 is a dime a dozen. You are going to get a lot of flak if you talk about putting a chev motor in there. It is bad enough you are talking about an import motor.

You want something sick and fast. Take out the shock towers and build something like this:

Fast and Furious: Tokyo Drift comes to mind and it was a horrible movie... the worst part about all of it was the import motor swap into the stang. At least stick with an american motor...
what about a 2.3L out of an old 84-86 SVO mustang? That with a turbo and EFI setup will get you well over 200 easily. Swap in a new modular motor or try to get your hands on a new ecoboost, twin-turbo V6.

i said i didnt want a chevy motor tony r, and i know 302 has been done over and over again, i want to build something that really gets attention that hasent really been seen before, like i also said it also doesnt have to be a import motor because i agree that tokyo drift was an awful movie and i really dont want people saying things about copying a movie, but in retrospec i do want something that hasent been done before or something that hasent been done but a couple of times, i am building this strictly show car and sound quality competition car, yet it is not goign to be a trailer queen what i am saying is i dont care what motor is in it i am not going to drag the car it is going to be a show car, but it will still be driven to and from the shows
