what motor should i put in my 66 mustang

Geeze, how much money do you have? Throw an electric motor in there, or how about a twin turbo 200ci inline 6, or how about a Ford Lightning engine.... oh wait, that's supercharged. I guess everyone has their own vision but I could not imagine an import engine in a vintage mustang
I like MonsterBilly's idea about a turbo diesel.

The import motor was only used for shots with the hood up. When it came to drifting the Mustang, it was V8 powered!

ok, after reading some comments i think some people still havent grasped what i am doing here, i dont care whter it is import or american i just want something different, i personally dont want to put a import motor in it either unless it was one of the skyline gtr or toyto supra 2jz twin turbo motors, both are inline 6's. but also when i say show car i dont mean 24's and lambos like someone stated before, i just want a restomod, clean mustang, i have been in the restoring busniess for long enough and have built some custom show cars and show cars just are funner to build in my opionion, shows what you can come up with and how creative you can be. not to be confused with the donked out impalas on 26's i dont like that either. but i am looking at air ride technologies kit, maybe 19"s though i have a set of 18"s im going to see how they look. disc brake conversion, digital gauges, you know typical restomod stuff with a few of my own ideas thrown into it too. i really dont want a ricer stang, and i dont want a stupid looking car that gets laughed at, i want to build a showcar that has good quality parts that also stands out.
and also i seen someone else say a dodge motor, i was actually thinking about a dodge srt8.... any thoughts on that???

racin, that link is correct for the boat motor.
mitz, you should give that some serious thought. you could built it for relatively cheap and make kickass power, and your only challenge would be the bellhousing but im sure something could be made to work.

Two engines are always better then one! Why not go for the expensive rotaty look. I dont think I have seen it in a mustang before. I have a friend who works for Nissan and in his spare time he creates crazy projects out of old 70's 240's. His latest is a rotary engine. That would turn heads in a mustang. Do it in a fastback and place the engines in the rear on display.
(whats your budget?)
