Chrysler\Plymouth Mangum 500s

Chrysler\Plymouth Mangum 500s
I picked up a set of Magnum 500 wheels on eBay pretty cheap; unfortunately they're originally from a 1969 Roadrunner. Anyone know if the aluminum overlay is removable on these wheels? Ideally I would like to pull the overlay off and throw some trim rings on them.

Anyone have any pictures of a '69 Mach 1\Fastback with 14x7" Magnum 500, even better if they have 235-245 Radials?
EDIT: Any way to edit the title, so I look like less of an idiot?

I used to have those on my Challenger. The "alum overlays" ARE trim rings.
The are attached just like hubcaps.
Personally, I would sell those to a Mopar guy. They look like the origional
"R/T rally wheels" that came on most late 60s early 1970s Challenger, Cuda, Charger and Roadrunner R/Ts.
A Mopar guy might pay some bucks for them, being origional.
Then get a set of real Ford Mag-500s, (they look much better on Fords anyway),
and you can get new ones for reasonable prices at the online Mustang stores.
BTW, I'd be surprised if the Mopar wheels even fit your Mustang.

Thanks. Yeah they are original, but Ford and Chrysler have the same 5x4.5" bolt pattern. I was thinking of looking for some Ford Magnums but I'll probably just use these as drivers until I find a set for a decent price.

I've been out of the old Mopars since about 1990 when I sold the 71 Challenger convert (I should of kept it until a couple years ago, who knew the prices would run up like that?,, oh well). Back to topic, I still
think he could sell those wheels for decent bucks to someone wanting origional wheels.
The new Mopar repops Year-One sells are the same as the Ford mag-500s, no aluminum trim rings.

The only reason I know that off the bat is one of my buddies just bought a '70 Challenger that has original rally wheels on it
You're right, they're probably worth something, just not as much as a set of rally wheels.

What the Heck?, those wheels came stock on my 1973 Duster (318v8 but not an R/T) and the Magnum wheels came stock on my Challenger (also 318 but not an R/T). Hard to believe the rallys are worth more than magnums.
Good to see some Mopar guys on here.
My DD is an 07 Magnum 5.7 hemi, so I'm still in the club.
