cant remove lifters

You'd be better off driving them through into the pan. If they are mushroomed you could gouge up the lifter bores trying to force them out towards the top.

thats what i meant. i wanted to punch them into the engine and hope they land into the pan.

usualy its just crusted up oil deposits, just use the slide hammer or channelocks, carb cleaner will take off the deposits.
