simple electric questoins
When it comes to electrical im pretty much lost. last year I jerry rigged my stereo electrical by stealing it from a fuse on the fuse box inside the fire wall. It worked ok until I robbed more power from there for my new electrical fan and now I can't run them both at the same time because there isn't enough juice. So where is the CORRECT place to wire these things?
Thanks
Thanks

Yes, the fan needs to use a relay and draw off the power side of the starter solenoid or the + battery terminal(same difference). Then you use the coil side of the relay and tie it into a 12v+ switch and the fan controller.

ill get upside down in the front seat to look for the radio fuse, thanks.
As far as the fan, i have it wired right now straight from the fan to the switch, can i just wire the power stright from batery to the switch? The fan didnt come with a relay

The heater fan likewise.

If you're talking about a radiator electric fan, you need to run it off of a relay. I just installed a Painless universal, $27 at Summit. E fans pull so much amperage(they can spike well over 30A at startup) that you need to run it off the hot side of the starter solenoid or the + battery terminal so you don't blow fuses or start electrical fires. The relay is then hooked up to a fan control and a 12v+ switch, so when the fan controller comes on the relay closes and the fan gets power from the hot side of the battery.
