On the road after 2 years

Very nice looking car, you did a great job!
I'll probably be in line for that fender roller when you are ready to rent it out. I have the same size wheels but it's too soon to know if they will rub.
Funny thing, I always hated blue cars until I joined this site, now I'm starting to think about painting mine blue instead of the silver I've been planning for.

So last night I looked up in the fenders to doublecheck where they were rubbing. I then had my neighbor check the wheels as I turned them back and forth. Sure enough the front are rubbing at the top( as I expected) and are rubbing near the front bottom when turning sharp. They hit near the bottom of the fender. I don't want to roll the bottom of the fender so maybe I can just give it alittle clearance. This was why I could only go with 2 degrees caster on alignment. The camber is at -.5 degrees which may help alittle.
I still have a clicking upper control arm on the drivers side only when moving just a hair. I was told I would have to remove the shaft, regrease and reinstall. Well I will have to live with the noise until winter as I dont want to tear into it again. Once done stock, Once removed for a drop, and again for a regrease.

You can get more fender clearance by installing a camber kit

It will give you the camber adjustment on the LCA and eliminate the shims on the UCA. This will pull the outside edge of the wheel in by at least the thickness of the shims (which will be about 1/4 to 3/8 at the top)
It will make it easier to align the car especially if you add adjustable strut rods.
I went Rosehills model

Just some options to think about instead of changing tire/wheels

Ron,
Thanks i looked at those. I already have roller spring perches and adj strut rods but am time constranted so I have already ordered a eastwood roller for the fenders. I may go ahead and weld in the lower adjuster this winter anyway.
By the way may see you at next years benicia car show as I live in concord.

That would be cool! We had a great time looking at the show this year.
You have done a great job on the car. Very well done.
Are you a member of a local Mustang club?
Do you have a secret local Mustang store can walk in and buy a part?
Dont mean to hijack your thread

I bought alot of parts from "Delta Bay Mustang" in Brentwood. The guy there "Tom" really know mustangs and has a small shop at his home. Great guy for information as well as parts.
The seats are stock frames with TMI "sport seat foam" and "Pony" covers. They kind of look stock but they have quite abit more "Bolster" then the original seats. I have tryed to keep the car looking stock to anyone who doesnt know mustangs but have literally added pretty much everything I could. I even put the MSD box in the inner fender by the antenna as I didnt want it to stand out with its red color.
