How much will I get set back for a rear end

Got a 67 FB fully restored. My rear end is shot. The guy that restored it is looking for a 9". He said everything (brakes..whatever) can be moved over. I am bracing myself for the cost. Anyone know what this might run me?

i found anywhere from 200$ at the pick-a-part to 4,000 for the bomb rear end...im still up in arms as to what to do...i am probably going to spend about 2,000 and get a nicely rebuilt rearend with the right gears and posi

Well I figured about 1500. The guy is looking for a 9" but if I have to rebuild what I got, thats ok too. I have a 302 in it now but I don't expect to upgrade so I really don't need a 9". I have so many $ in this already its a matter of principal at this point.

That 8" you have in it will handle almost anything that 302 can throw at it with 400 HP and less. So, if you aren't going above that, then why waste the money for a 9"?
