fastback vs sportroof
#6
Well, it's been diluted over time, but when the "fastback" roofline first appeared in the 1930's, it meant that the roofline went all the way to the rear of the car. From this standpoint, the only real Mustang "fastbacks" were the 67-68, and 71-73, barely. Anyway the word "fastback" has an actual technical meaning. "Sportroof" is purely a marketing term.
