Here in Texas if a car sat on dirt for that long the entire belly would be rusted. How does the bottom of yours look?

So this past weekend got it out and started cleaning off all the dust, cobwebs and other crap. Also drained to oil and dropped the tank. Should be able to get it started today. Once I know it'll start and I can hear it again (it's been like 5 or 6 years since I last heard it) I'm gonna pull it and do a complete overhaul on it. New gaskets, seals, lines, et cetera and paint the block.

The old starter was slipping so getting it to start was kind of hard. After putting a new starter in she fires right up. Can't wait to get the choke cable so I can let the motor warm up and idle right. Really want to hear that cam in action haha. This is basically my first time hearing it run so I am really excited. There is a leak in the power steering somewhere and it drips right on the header and smokes really bad which is also keeping us from running it for very long. It's impossible to see where it is leaking right now because there is crud caked on everywhere. Gotta take it down to the hand car wash so we can power wash the undercarriage.

I'm glad you realize its almost impossible.... Ford never really connected the motor, tranny to the serial like Chebbie. So in reality... technically there is no such thing as "numbers matching" for Ford.
