Default Speed O

My Speedo is off, last i drove the car it was off by 10mph - 15mph (slow). I have 2.79 oem gears (3 speed Manual) p225/50r15 tires. drive teeth look real good, 17T. so I am trying to figure out the problem. everthing i have read refers to "Drive teeth" i don't know where to look for this info to get the correct gear assuming the 17T is incorrect.

I checked the FAQ's and stickies but cant find what i am looking for.

Thanks

Mort

Well, the gear on the end of the speedometer cable is the driven gear, not the drive gear. Since you already know that with a 17T gear, you are 10-15 mph slow, just cut to the chase and swap in a 16T gear.
