GEAR VENDORS OVERDRIVE POOR EFFORT
I bought a Gear Vendors Overdrive unit for my 65 coupe to attach to the C4. I asked for the speedo elbow to be included because I know it is a tight fit and there would be too much bend in the cable. GVO said they would put it in the package. Anyhow shipped it to Australia and guess what no elbow. Its all fitted up and works but I am sure the cable will eventually break as the bend is pretty harsh. The speedo cable is directly involved in the gear changes so I need it to work without fail. So now I have sent multiple e-mails to the company for the elbow to be posted over but no response. Pretty poor effort for such an expensive purchase. Anyone else having problems from GVO.

The gear vendors unit is an auxiliary overdrive box that bolts on the back of an existing transmission. It provides an overdrive and creates a "high and low range" they say effectively doubling the C4s gears from 3 to 6 and also another reverse.
They are pricey little jibs....

Yeah I just got through reading about the basics... Like it takes some pretty fancy hardware to make it work. The C4 kinda had trouble making shifts before...wonder how it does with all that business hooked up to it?
Cool idea though too bad final gear isnt .60 if your gonna go through all that trouble you might as well OD the **** out of it.
