Something like these:

With 17 X 8 wheels, use 1" (at least I did on my 65). With the V6 16 X 7.5 wheels the OP pictures, I don't know. 1" spacers will probably work but you might need 1 1/4" or 1 1/2" adapters.

I had the exact same rims for my '66 and tried one of the "adapter Kits' from Mustangs Unlimited... One of the studs spun and made it impossible to tighten or loosen the nut without destroying a wheel. Also, the kit they sent me still allowed the wheel to rub the upper ball joint and the tire rubbed the inner lip of the fender (I forget the size, but it was their suggested size). They gave me crap over trying to return them too, but I did eventually get my money back. I ended up giving the wheels to a friend and got some Torque thrust IIs.

+1 for torque thrust.

I still like the 0 back spacing on classic cars.

Some modern rims look good too.
