Prevent the hood from opening

Prevent the hood from opening
Hi all,
I am looking for a way to lock my hood like on modern cars. I would feel better if it was not possible to open it without a key or without cranking up a lever from the inside of the car.
I am not looking for hood pins, just a nice/simple way to prevent my hood from being open by a random stranger on a parking lot
Thanks,

I have 2 and use both or either. I started with a gun cable lock, the hood will open just enough to get the key in and it hangs from the hood on the '67. I looped it through the hood part and lock it around the grill part where the hood latches.
The other is a cabinet lock that I drilled a hole for, the tumbler tab keeps the lever from moving to unlatch the hood. I can just get the key to it to unlock. Got this idea from another forum, this is his pic I saved. I used a cabinet lock from HD but will replace with a stronger one from a locksmith or cabinet co. as this one is China cheap.

The remote operated hood latches from the 80's Ford trucks will directly switch out with the stock latches on the '69/70 Mustang but I think the 67/68 Mustang uses a different latch assembly. The '69/70 Mustang latch is mounted on the radiator support whereas your latch is mounted on the bottom of the hood.
