66 GT rear brake backing plate knockout slug

Hope this is the correct place to post...

Can someone advise me on the best way to remove the slug? I beat on it all day yesterday with no luck.

Sometimes you need to use a chisel with a BFH and I've even needed to use an air chisel. In worse case an air grinder to make some slots.
