AOD TV cable on a Autolite 2100 carb
Hi, my name is Eric from Belgium Europe. Ihave owned about 6 different Mustangs and now I have a 67 Convertible with a 289 CI engine and an AOD transmission with B&M shifter.
The problem is that I need to adjust the tv cable, but the cable is now just attached to the throttle of the carb without any bracket. That can't be good for proper adjustment. I want to know if there are special correction brackets available for an autolite 2100. I know there are for Edelbrock and Holley. But I have not found any for a 2 Barrel carb.
I could make one myself, but I have no idea of the measurements.
Anybody here who has a AOD set up with a 2 Barrel carb? That would help me a lot.
This is how I bought the car with the current set up. I can't get it adjusted right, even with an oil perssure gauge:
thx
greetings from Belgium
Eric

you need to be real careful with the adjustment of the cable it actually controls line pressure if you have it misadjusted you will burn up the transmission....
here is a link to Lokar kits to TV cable setups I dunno if anyone else makes a kit.
