body work help [please
i need to start the body work but have never dne it and not sure where to start..how hard is it going to be to fix the rust holes and does someone know a thread forum ect. that might help me get started..my friend just got a weilder that we can use ..also what kind of metal ect. do i need to purchase to fix the rust holes ..ty

It all depends on how much, and where the rust is. If it is only on the doors, rear quarter panel and floor pans, then you won't need to take off the front end and pull the engine. But if the cancer has the front end eaten up, then you best get the engine out and start there.

the rust is mainly in trunk and hood area..ive decided to replace both..now the trunk area on both sides on lip where it closes has some rust spots..also back cowel has rust threw in 1 spot..i also have a little rust hole problem in both door jam areas..rear and front panels are all good..

go to a body shop and get a damaged hood or a door and cut out patch panels from it it would be free when welding make sure u let the area cool as to not warp the metal and make more work for urself
