Default Screws and hardware

We are trying to put the car together, 1965 coupe. It came in pieces and it is like a jigsaw puzzle, but we don't have all the pieces.

How do we know what screws we need to put different pieces together? Is there a list of screws needed and sizes? I find in the shop manual where it shows there are screws that are used to attach pieces and where they go, but how do I know what size screws to get and use?

Any help you can offer would make life much easier and would therefore be much appreciated.

http://www.mustangsplus.com/xcart/Mustang-Sheet-Metal/

Chassis and body fastener master kits are listed in there. Other sections have appropriate fasteners.

In most hdwr. kits, the fasteners will be individually wrapped (per application) and labeled. Takes all the guess work out of it!

Something I found interesting:

The fellow who started National Parts Depot got his start putting together nut/bolt/fastener kits for Model T and grew his business from there.

Hardly helpful but just in cas

the osborne assembly manuals for your year will point out hardware part numbers and where they go. those manuals, combined with AMKs guide to fasteners (cross references a part number to a description/picture) can help figure out the puzzle.

the fastener kits don't come with everything.
