Default Different 65 Mustang brake pedal?

I picked up a clutch and brake pedal at a swap meet a while back and when I cleaned them up I noticed the brake pedal has a rectangular stud welded to the front at the pivot point. I've had a lot of clutch and brake setups but never one that had a stud welded on like this one. It looks factory but I have no idea of what the application could have been. All other dimensions of the pedals are identical to a regular 65/66 set up. Anybody have any idea?
