What kind of screw am I looking for here?
I was cleaning the hood of my car and noticed that if I put some pressure on the left/drivers side it depressed slightly and squeaked. The right side does not, so I opened the door and noticed that one side had a bolt and washer, whereas the other did not.
So my question is, what kind of bolt do I need and how do I get one in there, do I need to remove the door completely or is there a way that I can do this myself?

.
coarse thread 5/16" x 1 to 1 1/4" long and a 5/16 fender washer.
that nut is rusty so i would tap it first using an extension and a 12 point socket.
to install the bolt, put a piece of masking tape on the bolt head then fold it over the head leaving ends of tape that around 3/8" long . . install the washer and stick the tape to the washer . . put sone grease on the bolt then stick it in a 6 point socket . . the tape will hold it in the socket and try to install it without cross threading it.
