Thanks again guys for all the advice,

Rebuild kit is ordered and will be here in a week or so.

Today I took out the Valve Body, didn't really know what I was looking for, cleaned it down and checked for anything strange. 2 things drew my attention - when I pushed in on the Intermediate Servo Accumaltor Valve it didn't pop back out even though it has a spring - Is it meant to ? Also the Main Oil Pressure Regulator Valve seemed a bit sticky. I didn't want to mess with it too much and mess it up. Could that cause part of my problem ?

Also I noticed another thing, one of the levers, I think it's called a Manual Detent Lever (it's slightly hooked shaped), is that meant to connect to something ? When cycling through the gears it moves but doesn't come into contact with anything, is it meant to ?

I'm going to try everything before giving in and going to a shop, automatics are rare over here and I'd have to take it to a specialist and pay a small fortune !

Thanks again for all the help,
I rebuilt the transmission and it works perfectly again. It was a lot easier than I expected. It was a little tricky getting it back in, I didn't have any help so I mounted it on a skateboard, rolled it into position and jacked it up into place with 2 trolley jacks. Connected everything up and works great.
