This is definately an opinion question...When I had the body work done for my car i had a custom 4 point roll cage made. It's not installed yet but it's made...Now here's the question everybody has an opinion on...should I keep it stock and put the back seat in and scrap the roll bar or go with a more modern look and install the roll bar, leave out the back seat and make some kind of slanted piece that comes of the back ledge to the floor so the bars can go through it then maybe cut some hole is the piece for some speakers or what? I still haven't decided on the original or more modern aspect of how I would like this to turn out!

RE: opinion
OK, you asked for an opinion, take it or leave it. I would put that sucker back to bone stock but make sure you have at least front disk brakes.
Now, that said......The reason for a roll cage is for high speed racing and drag racing. If you are producing enough ponies to get a timeslip in the 11's, then you are going to need the cage. If you are putting it in just for the looks, forget it. They take up space, you are constantly banging your head on it, and it is just plain not necessary.

RE: opinion
In my opinion, it is your car, you should do want you want. I think the only mods that aren't cool are the ones you can't change back. Like the station wagon or truck mods that have been posted in various places in these forums. I think the point of having your car is to make it yours. Just my opinion.

RE: opinion
Well....if you haven't put subframe bars in, the 4 point will stiffen the chassis and eliminate alot of creaks. It will also give you an excellent location to mount a 3 point belt of your choice too without the need to cobble togther mounting nuts into the roof or lower door pillars.
Plus...if you do ever build for power...hey there you go.....of course most mustangs you can put a nice 4 point bar for that still allows the use of a backseat in both a coupe and FB.
