Black Plastic Replacement Window?? Not tinted ...just black plastic??
Hi. I have a 94 vert. The back glass has come undone and i am opting to replace it with plastic instead of glass to save $400 since I am selling the car. the rest of my windows are tinted. I can't find a black plastic/vinyl replacement window curtain. I know with my jeep they had black vinyl/plastic windows for the tops to match the tinted glass windows. I have looked and looked and looked. Even on here. I cant find anyone that addresses this issue. It seems it would be very common but no one on here has brought up the issue??? Am I missing something? Can anyone provide a link? I am not even going to think about trying to tint my plastic window...that will look like crap. I am looking for a replacement rear window curtain that comes with tan canvas and a black vinyl window for a 1994. Any help?

bfcerny, I install tops and back windows for a living and there is not anything like you are looking for anywhere.
tdurham's idea might work if you already had a clear vinyl window to apply it to before installing the tint. Otherwise you would have to pay someone to sew that tinted vinyl in to the space that the hard glass used to occupy(this would be hard to find - would look like a kindergardener tried to sew it). I don't think you would find a conv. top installer who would take the job on.
The cheapest way to get the back window fixed is to go to a conv. top shop and ask for an installation of a plastic window curtain.
I'm thinking you might also try to sell it "as is" and drop kick the problem. That is what most people would probably do.
Good luck.
