Hood Scoop Paint Job?
Hello everybody,
I am kind of new to the forums but I am looking to buy a GT500 Duraflex hood for my 2006 mustang. It is not done with the right paint job it has to be to fit my car. If I were to take the paint off without the body shop doing it, does anybody know of a price range we might be in?

I am sorry if this confused you guys, I am not looking to buy a hood scoop, I am currently about to buy one is what I meant. Then if I do buy it, I will have to know how much it is to find out how much I will have to save after I buy the scoop.

My friend's advice who is a class A body man. He gets lots of people who try to paint projects like this in their garage. They screw it up, bring it into the shop and have it redone. So now they are out the paint, the cost to strip the paint they put on the hood (or whatever the part is) and then prime and paint by somebody who knows what they are doing. Take it to a pro......it's cheaper and you will be happier with the results.

Not sure if you understand, I am going to go to the paint and boy shop to get it done. I would never do it at my house... To sketchy... but lets say I ordered the hood without paint ever on it yet, how much would it be for the shop to paint it maroon red?

I had my hood painted by a local shop. I went to my ford dealer and asked who they prefer and went to that particular place. I believe I paid 650 to 750. You can see my hood in my sig. they did a great job. I think with the hood and paint I had around 1200 in it.
