k today i was drivin my 95 and somethin started to smell a little funny. i turned up the air conditioner and the smell was really prevalant. it really smells like freon. need advice on what i should do.

Roll down the window fast and get some fresh air before you suffocate! LOL
Seriously, is the AC still putting out cold air, if it lost the freon, it shouldn't blow cold anymore, in fact, on some systems if the pressure drops too low, the AC compressor clutch won't even engage either, so check for this condition.
the other more complex problem could be a leak in the heater core but this should smell like antifreeze and if on defrost, will blow vapor out the vents and fug up the inside of the windows.

k the ac stays on, so then i guessed heater core also. but that fog thing. dosent happen

Not to hijack this thread buuuttt.....

If i put my a/c on anything besides hi it dose'nt work. But if I have it on the one right before hi (cant remember wut it is) and go about 70 mph i can feel it blowing. It blows cold too.


any ideas??????????????
