You can easily get a domestic small block that's rear wheel drive in that range for way less.

I'm debating with my folks over that buisness.
On one hand, they're not sure if they're going to sell it, in which case, just drop in a used tranny.
On the other, if we keep it and sell the Buick, we're going with a new tranny ($2400 list......Dave'll probably hook me up and knock it down a couple hundred for me) and alieviating all these problems.
I'll keep ya updated. But, my 11/12 second saturn's probably going to be a 95/96 SC2, the coupes with the pop up headlights. They weigh less have the same motor as I do now.
