Sounds like quite an upgrade. I'm not too sure, but I'm guessing you'll need to upgrade your suspension, transmission, drivetrain, and brakes. As for mountings, I'm not sure specifically, but I'm sure there will be problems there too. You might be better off buying another mustang with the 5.0 or finding someone else who modded theirs. I was attached to my old '84 5.0 though, so I'll understand if you tell me to go to hell. Hope this was helpful.

i feel the same as Timbo find a 5.0 and get it injoy the 5.0 and take your time and build a monster 351 that way its almost a direct swap or build a monster 302 to just replace your old one. but if your like me and going to go with the big jump in motor size your looking at a lot of part hunting (bet your hunting will be ezer to do than mine). but to give you an idea you will need new cooling system, motor mounts, springs, wiring, tranny, drive shaft, rearend, exhast, and anything that dont come with the 351 like fuel system, elect system, oil pan, oil pickup tube, cuz none will work off you 4banger. but if you are going to do the swap let us know we will help im all for the out with 4 in with the 8
