just bought a 1990 mustang
i just bought a 1990 mustang LX for $400. i plan on fixing it up and reselling it. i currently have a pretty big project in my hands and dont have any time for the mustang. it runs great and theres very little rust. the only problem is the front right fender, its dented in bad, but ill go to the junkyard and get a new one and bolt it in. i was planning on doing this right off the bat-
new spark plugs/wires
fuel filter
oil filter
air filter
oil change
replacement fender
other bodywork (very minor rust in some spots)
repaint
is there anything else you guys would recommend for me to do to make it run better than it already does?
thanks alot

With such a good deal I would look into the
transmission, clutch, and drive train.
Also the suspension.
The rear shock towers will be prone to rusting out
depending on where in the country it is
from. The gas tank will be prone to rust, causing
gas smells when full.
The brake lines will be prone to rusting causing
gas leaks.
The springs will be prone to sagging as the age
is not good for them.
The interior is another possible issue.
The ashtray lid is prone to breaking open. the
door panel are also likely to pull off the
door. The door speakers are prone to get wet and
die. The door handles are likely to break when
pulled in the winter and door frozen shut.
The seats are likely to have tares from sliding in
and out.
The door glass, if electric, are prone to sticking
in the down position.
Other than that you probably will have no other
problems.
