Default Distributor bearing?

When I accelerate slowly I will here a squeaking noise, but if I accelarate hard I dont here any thing. I thought it was a pulley cause of a burning rubber smell.

Sounds like a belt is loose or worn or cheap.

I replaced smog pump last year along with a ford replacement belt. The sound I hear is similiar to when the smog pump pulley bearing froze up and sent belt flying.

I took the belt off, the tensioner pulley spun freely. Thats what I first thought it was.

How does it sound without the belt? Yes, the engine will run without it...just don't let it run for very long (keep it to a few seconds).
