Default Fuel issue with Supercharger-questions

I was wondering what sort of fuel and sensory upgrades I'd have to do, since I can't find a clear state of mind on it.

I'm equipping it with 42lb'ers so I'll have a larger pump as well, what concerns me is not knowing how the ECU will react, and do I need a MASS Air unit?

The kit is a 15psi Procharger D-1SC

Upgrades along with the kit install will include,

Edelbrock Performer Intake Manifold, BBK Pullies, 75mm TB, Full exhaust kit.

I'd like to do this right because the Chevy guys are already helping me out and I'm going to be bummed if my Pony can't keep up with the Camaro I have like it does now.

http://superchargersonline.com/fuelupgrades.asp

If you look on this page there is a section there for fuel pressure regulators. (FMU) The fuel pressure regulator would basically add 10 psi to the fuel pressure when there is 10 psi of boost to your intake. (using MAP) So the right regulator, injectors, and fuel pump is necessary for optimum performance of the supercharger. Most supercharger kits come with all the necessary components you need to install it, but this is not always the case. The link above should be very helpful.

With 42lb injectors and a tune you do not need a FMU. All you need is a new mass air unit and a tune and your good to go. Thats the exact setup i am running and no problems so far

You'll definately need a tune. The 42's are too big for the EEC to control.

Do you really need a chip when doing a supercharged setup on a 87-93? or can the tuner burn your ecm?

I got a set of 42 in a customers car that I work on with a stock EEC and no chip or (tune) just a good Mass air its a PMAS 95mm and it runs fine. some times when its hot we do need to hold the thing on the floor to shut off the fuel when we start it but other then that it runs great. It has been 8.00and 97 mph in the 1/8 with traction issues and cant keep the car off the rev. limiter with the 4.10. its a stick now we are gone with a C-4 and 3.73 look out 11s. its my wife's old procharger it has the 14lbs pulley on it now and is intercooled we went 11.60 with ported stock heads so I know it will run that good. could it run better with a tune or a chip sure but this is a budget car LOL
