Just got an 02 GT manual... love it... but I have money leftover to spend and i really don't know what to do to it. I have about 400 to spend but I don't need performance mods really since I don't race or anything. What are some cool things I can do to it on the interior or exterior like accessories or anything? Just looking for some ideas, thanks

i feel the same way really. i really want my gt to be faster...but in the end i dont need it. i kno its fast and i wanna make it look a lot better. plus my parents would rather me not make it any faster/not let me at all.

ummm....styling...i got a shorty antenna ($20) and a shift ****($30) so far.

im also strongly considering a chin spoiler($60), sequential turn signals($80ish), and i might actually do some neon($40ish) on the inside or something. sorry for all you hardcore muscle car people...but i honestly think it looks kinda cool. and i have a gt so im not a ricer. so no complaining.

ummm...other useful stuff...a security system($250ish) or lowering springs($235 plus install). im looking into eibach prokits...they make it look a lot nicer and i think they help a little with handling? not that i kno a lot about cars. meaning like nothing.

Yea I got a shift ****, $20, and it already had an aftermarket security system on it when i bought it so thats out of the question. I thought about a catback but i dont want to **** off the cops that much. O yea i like the super troopers name ya got

Get an open intake or cai... it'll make it sound better when you get on it, but other wise you'll never notice, plus it'll give ya a couple horsies

well you could look into a mach 1 chin spoiler, mach 1 grill delete. maybe some racing stripes. 2 members i know of have done it to there car and it looks great. mdvaldosta and Xrocksthepony. maybe save that 400.00 a put torwards wheels and tires. just throwing some suggestion out in the air. good luck

Great suggestions, this is what I was looking for. The racing stripes might actually be a good idea for me since my car is the bright torch red. A black or charcoal colored stripe would look very nice and make it look like the mach 1.

Are your windows tinted? Pissing off the cops is not an issue, that can't pull you over for cat backs. Get some flowmasters on that beast! Go for some lowering springs also. Keep the neons on the inside that's the only place that they belong, otherwise people will categorize your mustang as a "ricestang", no matter if it's a GT or not. Personally, I don't think they look bad but I don't feel like getting trashed from other people and it's just more money that doesn't go into performance.

there are several things every noob needs to do to his/her mustang after they purchase it, and the first is

get ride of any dealer decals or emblems,

then

get rid of that ugly *** antenna and replace it with a shorty antenna

then

get sum bumper inserts, perferably the plated kind.....check this out ssinserts.com
