Default Emissions - Sorry I am new

Hi,

My check engine light just came on, and I had the code run, and it said it was my emissions. The guy at Auto Zone gave me a print out, and it said:

P1443
Definition EVAP canister purge valve mechanical fault or VMV fault condition
Explanation
ECM detected a fuel tank pressure change greater than 6 minus 7 inches of H2O in 30 seconds with a purge less than 0.02 lbs per minute.
Probable cause
1. Failed EVAP Pressure sensor
2. Blocked hose between purge valve and FTP sensor
3. EVAP purge valve stuck closed

Is there a cheap and easy way to check which one it is?

There's a thread in the V6 section going about EVAP and related codes you might want to search for. It could be some help for you.

Thank you. The last time they posted on that was in '08. So my question, the purge valve, does it go by another name?

This might not be the problem but, it might help. Make sure your gas cap is fitting properly. A worn washer on the cap can cause a fuel pressure glitch.
