Default Can the stock computer handle...????

I just rebuilt my 302 for my 1991 5.0........ I added an Edelbrock performer intake, Edelbrock performer heads(1.90 in./ 1.60 ex.) w/full rolling 1.6 rockers, a E303 ford racing cam, adjustable fuel pressure regulator, under drive pulleys, electric fan, shortie headers with a no cat H-pipe and flow masters.
I connected everything and it started right up with a tiny idle imbalance! Then I adjusted the timeing. After I drove it down the block, I noticed the car would'nt let me rev it passed 2,500-2,600 rpm. I heard a fluttering sound from the exaust. It sounded as if the stock injectors weren't cutting it along with the stock fuel pressure of 38 psi. . So I bumped up my fuel presure... that even seemed to make it worse. So I bought the Ford racing 24# injectors with a calibrated 76mm MAF and a 155 lph fuel pump. I installed the injectors, pump and the MAF then it seemed to run worse!!! I turned the fuel pressure down and still the same thing!!! I turn the key and I hear a "put......... put..put.........put.....put" then nothing! UGH!!! This sucks!
I know my engine set up should let me use the new injectors w/MAF and pump. What the heck is going on?
CAN ANYONE TELL ME WHAT THE PROBLEM COULD BE/OR IS? IS IT THE COMPUTER? ANY INFORMATION WILL BE HELPFULL... THANKS FOR TAKEING THE TIME TO READ AND RESPOND!!! ~Drew

^^^I agree, cause many people are running the stock computer with that many mods if not more and have no problems really, maybe you need to check for vacums leaks and go back over everything you've done.

Ive gone over everything and checked all the conections and vacuum leaks. There all good. I know... the engine runs. Its just after I put the new MAF, 155lph pump & 24# injectors on it was running too rich. Is there a possibility that the computer is still thinking that there are 19# injectors in and making the new ones open the same length of time witch would make the new ones not have the right atomization for combusting? Saying that, should the computer be reprogrammed for the new set up? The Mustang performance handbook says, "The stock computer is good up to 375 horses". I only have about 310hp with my mods... Im stuck!! SH*%!!!

Yes the computer needs to be tuned to 24# injectors. You need to get a dyno shop to reprogram it. Maybe do a run or two then they can help you.

Thanks for the feedback. The only thing is... how the heck am I going to get my car to run on the dyno if it barely runs right now? What should I do? If I put the old injectors back on, they wont be the right size... and if I leave the 24# injectors on they bog the engine out. What should I do?~drew
