Default Need help...

What's up, dudes? I have a '97 Mustang GT that I just put a sound system in. The alternator is working fine, all shorts have been taken care of, and there is no parasitic drain. If I leave it sitting for about 3 days, the battery is too drained to start the car. The battery isn't more than a year old. I took it to a shop and they said that my "battery isn't big enough." First of all, what the hell does that mean? Secondly, does anyone have any ideas on what the problem could be? Any help would be appreciated.

even though the battery is only a year old it might have lost its ability to hold a charge.. swap the battery out and see if that works..

or better yet, just unhook the battery for 3 days, hook it back up, see if it'll start it then.. ?

i doubt cranking amps is the problem if it started fine before..

Alright, I'll check that out and let you know. My battery is still under warranty so that's a bit of a plus.

how much power is your sound system pushing? and how many amps is the stock alternator. if its not strong enough to handle the wattage, you are slowly draining the battery while driving.
