Default Passing inspection for my 03 GT...

Hey guys, I have a slight problem...can't seem to pass inspection in the 03 Mustang gt...I had the cats put on Sunday, and then took it to inspection Monday morning...failed because overall readiness result, failed...so the guy told me to drive it about 100 miles and come back...I did that and went back today and failed once again, this time not only for failing the overall readiness part but also because almost everything is coming back unsupported like, engine misfire, catalytic converters, evaporative system, oxygen sensors.. the guy said the engine might have to be reflashed or something?? any ideas, this stuff is new to me...

I sure dont miss PA Inspections, I remember when they were first starting to do the Exhaust inspections for emissions when I lived in Allentown...

But in a way sometimes I wish they had them here in the South, to get some of the ratty cars off the road!

Good Luck!

it hard for any one to know what could be wrong with out a list of what has been done to the car unless you are saying it was bone stock except for the cats.

sorry, it has a cold air intake, 4:10 gears, and flowmaster exhaust for performance parts...

Sounds familiar to a problem I had. I went for inspection, failed because they said the system wasn't ready, told me to drive 50-100 miles to go through a drive cycle. I ended up just uninstalling my CAI/tune and passed with flying colors. Only drove 20 miles max too. Is the car tuned?

we just bought the car, so I am not sure if the car is tuned or not...by any chance do you know any one in NJ that you could pay to get the sticker??

You could be in a situation where the previous owner had a bunch of that stuff turned off in the tune... so you'll fail everytime until it's fixed.

If you find out the problem and cost a fortune to fix there are always ways to get it to pass. Usually in the ghetto if you catch my drift
