Default 06 gt lowering help

I have a 06 mustang gt, can I get away with just springs or do I have to buy more. If so what all do I need?

If you're asking if it's possible to slap some springs on your car and go, then yes, it's possible. From a performance standpoint, it's almost useless. I guess the first question would be what your goals are for yourself and the car. Do you track it? Drive it hard on some curvy streets? Can you drive it well enough to recognize areas that the stock suspension needs improvement? Are you just going for "the look"? If you want to get the most out of your suspension then you're going to need to address some issues. First, lowering the car (depending on how much) will make your front tire camber become more negative. Go too far and you will accelerate tire wear. Caster/camber plates like THESE are recommended to correct that issue. Struts are also highly recommended because the stock struts are prone to early failure on a lowered vehicle. Do you need adjustability? If so, then look at something like THESE. If not then a good set of non-adjustable struts, like THESE, will work. There is also the issue of the rear axle shifting when the car is lowered which makes the tires stick out more on one side than the other. An adjustable pan hard bar like THIS one will correct that. As you can see, if you want to get the most out of your car, it isn't as simple as installing springs. I recommend that you visit the S197 handling section HERE and just read. Read a lot. Then when you think you know what you want, ask a more specific question. That section is full of people that have tons of knowledge as well as first hand experience with the things that make these cars work well.

I'm pretty sure you can get away with just buying lowering springs. Better than cutting or heaing them xD
