good buy or what
I'm looking for a good daily driver and the opportunity to buy a 2002 mustang gt 5 speed with 63000 miles has come up. Will this car last me a long time and not give me any troubles, well you know from crappy that may happen. Guy is asking 10000 and it is clean for sure but is that to much?

Get the carfax report on it to see if anything untoward has happened to the car. Is it a coupe or a vert? If its a coupe I think the price is slighly high, but not too bad. I paid 11,000 for my vert with 48,000 miles on it, and its a d@#n near 02...so close it came with an 02 owners manual, though it was built in Aug of 01.
If that all passes muster, have it looked at by an outside person, preferably a repuatable shop. If it passes that, then take care of the car and itll take care of you! Thats still rather low mileage, so it should last you a good long time. Do all the maintenance at the required intervals and be proactive with you maintenance and you will be happy.
{End long winded response.}

The question is always, has it been properly maintained or abused? If properly maintained and in good condition, you can certainly expect on average to double or even triple the miles without any major issues. If I knew it was in good shape I wouldn't think twice about 63k miles, as that's only 6k miles a year, well under average. Even if I didn't know for certain, I'd probably still take a chance on it without too much worry.

For $10K there are better cars and better deals.
Don't trust Carfax. It only tells you what gets reported to it... so it's not accurate. I've seen totaled cars come up with clean Carfax reports.
I'd say keep looking.
