4.10 gears for 2006 Roush
#13
Honestly it's not a big deal. I cruise at high speeds as well, but just know that you'll be at around 3k RPM if you are driving at 90 mph. However, the extra pull you get from adding 4.10 gear is worth it.

Well I got some bad news today. I had a noise in the rear end and it seems I need a rebuild. So now is the time to change gears I think. My question is do I get 4.10's? I drive a lot of highway miles and reach cruising speeds of 90 mph. Is the 410 a good gear for me? Or because of my high speed on the highway is a 3.73 better? I still want good pull out of the hole.
Hey cane boy, I have some 3:31's on my stang and let me tell you i feel like this ratio is the prefect ratio. It always keeps my engine in the power-band while at the same time, it does not kill my MPG on the highway. If your cruising at 90 MPH I dont think that the 410's would be best suited for you if you drive on the highway, here is a cool tool by summit racing that would calculate your RPM at a certain speed, give it a look. And yes if you want your speedometer to be correct you would have to get a tune. http://www.summitracing.com/expertad...tio-calculator
