There goes Cruisin. Jumping to conclusions as usual. You literally never have anything of value to say. If you don't have any input relating to the OP, then don't post at all. Why are you even a part of the forums? The vehicle has never been under warranty since I purchased it brand new. The reason is of none of your concern and had nothing to do with me.
I'm not aware of anyone on this forum that bought a new vehicle without a warranty. It was a valid statement/question of mine - even more so since there's a lot of warranty confusion.
Side note, I think you have me confused with someone else.

the shifter housing is bolted to the body and the trans, the shift linkage is internal to that and will line up without fail unless you have a loose trans or motor mount, or you have bent the hell out of the linkage by speed shifting like a putz. forgetting that, if it didnt line up it wouldnt work in just about all gears. i think you are overestimating the ammount of torque a 3.7 makes at any rpm

reasons for warranty to be void, salvage title, modded to the point that damage was caused, abuse above and beyond normal operating conditions. how about this (racing), replace whatever you want. you obviously know more that anyone else. so why are you posting here?

Thanks for the input, jwog666! Also, now the Powertrain warranty, is good for 5 years or 60,000 miles.

I had a similar issue with my V6 MT6 when I bought it (CPO, 30K miles) and the dealership said that it was 'normal' as well as the flat out refusal to go into 1st on cold mornings. I did the shifter, bracket and new shift ball (hate the goofy looking factory ****) but it still refused to shift 2nd sometimes and would pop out of gear downshifting if you did not engage the shifter firmly enough before letting out the clutch. I cursed this transmission every day I got in it. I was a little rough on it sometimes but I would hardly say I was abusive. It finally gave up second gear putting in traffic on the way to work one morning and I was able to get it covered under warranty.
There is a VERY long story and a 5 week wait to get the car back in which I had to open a formal complaint with Ford Customer Service but since I got it back after a complete rebuild and the addition of XL18 additive and it's much better now and I have not had any further missed shifts. I try not to beat on it too much but I have taken it to the track just to see what it would turn but I won't power shift it until I get the MGW race spec shifter that attaches 100% to the transmission and more or less makes it a true toploader.

These transmissions are one of the worst they have ever put in a 'performance car' but unit costs to keep retail down made Ford cheap out in many areas of these cars that the aftermarket gladly fills the need for people like us that are not 'average' buyers. If this one goes out again I will bite the bullet and get the Tremec Magnum conversion for the V6 and put the Procharger on hold...
