GT 500 TB???

I agree that you wont see a big gain on a turbo or centri car because they are pushing the air through the throttle body.
On a TS car you would see more of a gain, but the stocker is good till around 14psi. Then I might think of upgrading.
I will say many have had tuning issues when swapping TB's on 4.6's. Do a search on one of those "S197" specific forums and you can read about it. I have also read from experts that there is a "trick" to tuning them that not many know about. Dont know anything beyond that.
Until I see some hard numbers on some COPS and TB, that is a bolt on, reliable, and makes good power, I am not going to mess with them.
+1 if you want to have fun get a nitrous kit. 75 shot is perfect for the stock motor, just dont get greedy.

I think the aftermarket COPS probably helped your blown setup a LOT more than the TB, Sevenleaf. To the OP, I wouldn't worry about swapping the TB, like someone said... C&L Performance is about to release a new intake manifold. I'm pretty excited to see the N/A numbers/pricing on that thing but I'm not getting my hopes up with their head/intake matching stating the stock intake/heads are a near perfect match. We'll see... if I want more N/A power at this point it's probably going to take some head work and I'm not prepared to shell out that kind of money for another 50hp.
Unfortunately, if you want REAL N/A power it takes a lot more cubes than 281..
