So have you checked to see where the oil level is at for the S/C? I still dont remember them being that noisy at idle and with the hood open.....compare it to those found on youtube for starters

I would take a drive to a seal level track if I were you. How far do you have to drive to get to a normal altitude?

Washington would be the closest sea level track and thats 15 hours away. Denver is 8 hours but they are higher than us. N/A cars are about a full second slower where we are and boosted cars are about a half second slower.

Sounds pretty loud. My Whipple does not sound anything near that loud. and they are both T/S design. Almost sounds like a centri-blower. I hope everything works out and you noise gets fixed without much hassle!

meh, I dont really think theres anything wrong at this point. gonna hook up the boost gaguge this weekend to make sure its good. But Brenspeed reassured me that some of theres are just plain loud and run just as good. They said there Mountainer is REALLY loud and they put over 20K miles on it so far with no issue. Also, on there site is the video of like 3 of there cars being passed, and if you normalize the volume of the video, I would say theres are just as loud, for not having put the camera under the hood.

Kolb02, can't you run a smaller pulley to increase boost from the blower to get the same total psi as us sea level guys? Seems like that would be ok with the compression tolerance of the stock block as long as you have equivalent octane gas.

Yep, you can! A 3.0 pulley only makes 10psi here and it makes 12 at sea level. It dose compensate some but we are still slower because of the air. Probably 5 tenths slower. I ran 12psi last year and blew the motor so im going to leave it at 10psi.
