i just listened to the vid, and sounded rather loud, but if brenspeed says ok, then it's ok. they are much more knowledgeable than me.
don't mind me, JD. i'm at work and only have time to skim the threads between actual work.

Hell I thought the same thing the first time I heard it but it was cold and the sound is much more subdued when the hood is closed and the motor is warm (the other vids convinced me too)....JD- you did check the oil on the S/C just for the sake of it right? cant remember if you answered that (I think you did)

Hello everybody here is one of our Video's for comparison. Digital Camera's do not have very good microphones and it makes it very difficult to diagnose or compare over the internet. Check this video out. The blowers on this movie are louder in the movie than real life but do have a sweet twin screw sound. Hope this gives you an idea of what a twin screw Saleen sounds like.

Thanks for the official response! Just to let you know, I am very pleased and comfortable with the sound. In fact I have come to embrace it and its just sick! love it. To bad I need a clutch now that can handle it.. lol, you'll be getting a call from me soon ;-)

I am pleased and comfortable with it as well. I wish I could embrace it. 
Hearing Kolb02's car whining at me while I was taking that vid... Almost made me rethink my decision to go after the Vortech. The Vortech w/IC is almost as expensive as the Saleen package. Makes you go hmm...
