Hi Guys,

I got a great deal on this kit second hand (off a GT500 that had the supersnake upgrade - the owner didn't think they were loud enough):

However I am questioning if it will work on my 2006 GT. It looks like it should at a glance (have yet to raise the car and take a good look). The GT500 and GT are pretty much the same for exhaust *fitment/shape*, no? I mean it's exhaust, not something electrical or computer related....

I will be replacing the Midpipe (likely with a Catted Xpipe like the magnaflow Tru-X) and headers as well, which I was planning on connecting this cat-back to.

Anyone know before I go down to an exhaust shop and ask?

heh..answer my own question - gave borla a call (great phone service btw!)
What I was told is that it will bolt on but was meant for the GT500 (internally designed for a supercharged engine with different outputs) so it may sound different or perform slightly different than it would on the GT500.

Maybe this information will be of use to someone else considering the same...

Meh - I got a good deal on it, I'll give it a whirl!

Sounds good.

Went with BBD Shorty Headers (1712) and BBD Xpipe (1770). Those gave it a raspy sound but the addition of the Borla catback gave it a deeper, 'chest felt' resonance - overall I'm happy with the sound. Sounds good at idle, better under load. I'll try and get an audio clip.
