I'm planning on replacing stock mufflers with some new axle backs. I want to improve the sound without becoming totally obnoxious. The one thing I do not want are mufflers that drone. You guys know a 100 times more than I do so am looking for your advice.

You only need to know one word, CORSA. A little pricey, but it is a totally awsome system. They're motto is, "Quiet when you need it to be, loud when you want it to be". All stainless, so it will last the life of the car. Best system I ever owned.
