Default Finally got Kooks LTs! So now...?

Ill be putting on the Kooks catted x pipe LTs later this week, then run a dyno. On average, how many tenths of a sec did they take off the 1/4 for everyone else? Also, this fall I will be buying some slicks, then get an official 1/4 time. With my current mods, would it be wise to replace the DS or differential before hand? Or anything else like that? Thanks.

With my mod list I have yet to change my DS. The stocker has held up fine but I will be replacing that this winter since I do track the car. I think with your mods your fine but if u want a bit better times then by all means replace it. But if ur question is whether or not it will hold up on the track with current mods. Yes it will

LTs took off two tenths at the track for me. Make sure you have a 13 mm flex head ratcheting box wrench $15 at sears. It will save you hours of frustration. Also wear gloves or expect to lose a few pints of blood. Lol.

Ditto on outceltj ....stock DS is fine. I still have it too.

yep stock driveshaft can hold a lot of power. The reason people get the 1 piece aluminium one is to save on weight, in particular rotating mass. You'll get more power to your rear wheels and notice better throttle response. it's one of those mods thats good for .1 or .2 in the quarter for $500-$600, just to squeeze a bit more out of it. I noticed theh biggest difference on my 2007 GT when i removed it, thought it felt sluggish afterward, I didn't notice much when I installed it.
